National Livestock Mission — Entrepreneurship Development

A one-time 50% capital subsidy for poultry, sheep & goat, piggery and fodder units set up by individuals, SHGs, FPOs, cooperatives and Section 8 companies.

Animal Husbandry Infrastructure Development Fund

Bank loans of up to 90% of project cost for dairy and meat processing, animal feed, breeding farms, waste-to-wealth and veterinary vaccine units, with 3% interest subvention and a credit guarantee for MSMEs and dairy cooperatives. In the 2026-27 budget it runs as the Infrastructure Development Fund, merged with the Dairy Processing & Infrastructure Development Fund (DIDF).

আবেদন: Guidelines 3.0 let lenders sanction loans up to 31.03.2026 and disburse them up to 31.03.2027 (cl. 12.1). The 2026-27 budget funds the merged Infrastructure Development Fund, but we have not seen a new sanction deadline — ask the lender or the portal before you apply.

Paramparagat Krishi Vikas Yojana (organic farming clusters)

Support for farmers who take up organic farming together in a PKVY cluster, with PGS-India certification. Part of the money is paid to the farmer by DBT.

Help for rice, wheat, pulses, maize, barley and millet farmers: subsidised certified seed, free seed minikits and crop demonstrations on farmers’ fields.
